Let us tell you that only one hotel in Ranchi, Radisson Blu, meets the standards of BCCI. In such a situation, the BCCI had demanded 90 rooms for the T20 International match between India and New Zealand to be held on 19 November, so that their support stops with the players. The problem arose when it was revealed that an IAS officer of Bihar cadre had already booked for his wedding at Hotel Radisson Blu. Initially, the officer was not ready to shift her guests to another hotel. It is said that after the intervention of the government, he agreed. Meanwhile, the BCCI has asked to shift the match to another venue in case there is no room available at Hotel Radisson Blu. After this the government staff became active and the matter was handled.
